But why would Noel help Spencer like that? He's not exactly the Liars' biggest fan, so we doubt he did it out of the goodness of his heart. Here are our top four theories about why he sent the tape.
1. He's trying to deflect the attention from himself. The tape seems to prove that he didn't kill Maya (Bianca Lawson). But what if he was involved with her death? It's possible that the figure that pulled her off screen wasn't actually her killer. Or maybe it was her killer, but Noel initially set her up to be murdered. He may have given the Liars the tape to get them off of his tail.
2. To distract the Liars from a different secret. Maybe he's trying to deflect attention, not because he was involved with the murder, but because he's hiding something else and wants the Liars distracted so he can cover his tracks.
3. To prove his innocence. On the other hand, maybe he is totallyinnocent, and just wants the Liars to leave him alone. Though if this is the case, why didn't he turn in the tape into the police?
4. Noel didn't send the tape. We're not actually convinced Noel is the one who sent the tape. After all, the email address was hidden. Why would he hide the address while also making it "clear" that it's him by mentioning the locker? Maybe someone else — *cough* "A" *cough* — sent the tape for their own nefarious reasons.
What do you think? Was the tape really from Noel? If so, why did he send it? Let us know your theories in the comments below!
