The Expendables 2, Sparkle, Cosmopolis: Wetpaint Entertainment’s Sexy-Not Sexy Weekend Movie Guide, 8/17

Now that the Olympics are over, it's time to unglue yourself from that TV screen... and opt for the silver screen instead! Here's the scoop on three flicks showing this Friday, August 17.

The Expendables 2

When Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) hires the Expendables for what seems like an easy job, things go awfully wrong and one of their own is lost. As a result, it's revenge time, baby! Old faces include Jet Li, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Sylvester Stallone, while new (and super cute) faces include Liam Hemsworth.
Sexy: Did we not just say Liam Hemsworth?
Not sexy: Arnold
Verdict: Why not let your guy pick out the movie this time? There's plenty of action in it for him, and Liam will make it worth your time.

American Idol alum Jordin Sparks stars in this film about a trio of sisters struggling to hit it big as a dynamic singing group during the Motown era. The late Whitney Houston plays Jordin's single mother, and the musical includes new tunes from both leading ladies, as well as Cee Lo Green.
Sexy: Manager-client romances
Not sexy: Families torn apart
Verdict: A must-see for mourning Whitney fans, as well as fans of the underrated Idol winner... even if her character's name is Sparkle.

Recently wounded Robert Pattinson plays Eric Packer, a financial golden boy who watches his empire decrease over the course of 24 hours as the yuan's exchange rate mounts against all odds. Even worse, as he is being chauffeured across town for a haircut appointment, he realizes his life may be at stake.
Sexy: Robert Pattinson
Not sexy: Wall Street craziness
Verdict: Maybe the plot is hard to follow, but does it matter? Rob + sexy pressed suits = girls' night!
