Glee’s Samuel Larsen Welcomes Glee Project Winner Blake Jenner

Congratulations are in order, from one Glee Project winner to another! Season 1 Glee Project winner Samuel Larsen (Joe) took to Twitter on August 17 to welcome Season 2 winner Blake Jenner onto his new show.

On, Samuel tweeted, “Congrats mate @Blake_Jenner, welcome to the family, cheers.” Almost immediately, Blake tweeted back, “@SamuelLarsen THANK YOU SO MUCH MAN! Looking forward to everything with you guys!!!”

During Glee Season 4, Samuel’s character, Joe, will start his second year with the New Directions, after joining the club near the end of last season.

Alex Newell, who won two episodes on Glee as a runner-up during TGP Season 1, will also be joining them. His character, Unique, is transferring from Carmel High School to McKinley this year. However, Samuel’s Glee Project co-winner, Damian McGinty (Rory), will not be returning.

Blake’s first episode of Glee will be Season 4, Episode 5. Creator Ryan Murphy confirms that Blake’s character will be in Ohio, not New York City, and it seems fairly certain — though not totally confirmed — that he will be a student at McKinley High School. We can’t wait to see how this all unfolds!
