Should Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Let Daughter Shiloh Dress Like a Boy?
You know what they say — boys will be boys! Or in the case of Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, girls will be boys. Or, at least dress like them.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's 6-year-old daughter Shiloh might have her mom's feminine features, but she's a tomboy to the max. While Angie opts for glamorous gowns and high heels, her blonde-haired mini-me prefers cargo pants and tennis shoes.
Shiloh's style isn't just an anomaly in Hollywood — in a world where little girls are supposed to like pink dresses and patent leather Mary Janes, she's definitely a fish out of water. But Shiloh appears comfortable in her own skin, and her parents don't seem to mind that she doesn't dress like her celebutante counterpart, 6-year-old Suri Cruise.
We think it's great that Shiloh's ultra-A-list parents are laid-back about their daughter's style. It's important for children express themselves, even if that means defying well-established conventions. But at the same time, we can see how some parents might be against blurring the lines of traditional gender roles.
