When Will The Next Bachelor Be Announced for 2013? New Reality Steve Scoop!

The finale of Bachelor Pad 3 will bring us answers to a few burning questions: Who will win $250,000? Is that rash contagious? And of course: Who will be the next Bachelor? Is it Roberto Martinez? Sean Lowe? Arie Luyendyk, Jr.? So many questions!

Well, in years past, ABC has announced the next Bachelor at the taping of the Bachelor Pad finale, which happens this year on August 26, 2012. However, according to Reality Steve, this time around ABC will keep us waiting until the last moment . He says,

I guarantee you ABC does not ‘officially’ announce their choice for at least another 2-3 weeks. They are going to wait as long as they can on this. [ …] I originally had heard they planned on announcing the next ‘Bachelor’ during the [Bachelor Pad] finale taping, just like they did with Ben last season. But considering the ratings absolutely suck for this season, I don’t see that happening anymore.

Reality Steve also believes that Bachelor taping begins on September 20th, but don’t think that means that we’ll know our mystery man’s identity before that even — Reality Steve reminds us, “Brad 2.0 had already started filming his season before he was ‘officially’ announced and introduced on Dancing With The Stars.” Sigh — we hate waiting.

So does Reality Steve have any more intel on who the next Roseslinger might be? He says, “If it’s not Roberto, it’s going to be Sean. Arie is not going to be the Bachelor. And neither is Ryan Lochte. That’s pure media hype put out by a publicist to keep his name out there.”
