Blake Shelton: “I’ve Sacrificed the Peak of my Career” For The Voice

Though we eat up every second of The Voice like Purrfect the Cat does catnip, the grueling schedule can be time-consuming for the four celebrity judges.

Some of the judges have already complained about the new twice-a-year format, as it severely cuts into their careers as performers — and country singer Blake Shelton has been the most vocal about his concerns.

And despite show creator Mark Burnett being open to a future with alternate Voice judges, it seems Blake still isn’t happy.

In the Sept. 10 issue of Country Weekly, he said, “I’ve sacrificed the peak of my career. I don’t know how long I can stand it.”

While we can appreciate Blake’s predicament, we hope he doesn’t quit The Voice anytime soon. Where would we be without his alcoholic comments and gay-for-Adam-Levine jokes?

A Voice world that doesn’t include those cowboy boots and that barbed wire tattoo is not a Voice world we want to live in!
