Pretty Little Liars Burning Question: Why Did the NAT Club Film the Adults in Rosewood?

In the final moments of Pretty Little Liars Season 3, Episode 11: “Single Fright Female”, Ashley Marin (Laura Leighton) told Hanna (Ashley Benson) something shocking about the NAT club’s thumb drive of videos. And it might open up a whole new door in terms of who is threatening the Little Liars.

Not only did the NAT club continue to make their spy videos long after Alison (Sasha Pieterse) was killed, but whoever was filming the Little Liars was also filming the adults in Rosewood. Ashley tells Hanna that she reviewed the videos on the drive, and she saw that someone had recorded her dalliance with Detective Wilden (Bryce Johnson).

That means that the NAT club — confirmed members include Garrett (Yani Gellman), Jason (Drew Van Acker), and Ian (Ryan Merriman), though we suspect the Kahn brothers, Melissa Hastings (Torrey DeVitto), and Jenna (Tammin Sursok) may have been involved — wasn’t just focused on the Little Liars. They were looking to record evidence that they could hold against the Liars’ parents, and even Rosewood’s finest.

Why do you think the NAT club recorded what it did? And why would they want incriminating evidence against someone like Ashley Marin? We think it shows just how serious the NAT club was (is?) about their threats.
