Catelynn Lowell Recalls Moving Out of Her Mom’s House: I Had Nowhere to Go, But I Needed to Leave
Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra recently bought their very own house, but their cash flow hasn't always been great. This happy couple lived with their parents until Cate was pretty much kicked out of her house, which meant they had to get jobs and make some dolla dolla bills.
Luckily, Catelynn qualified for financial aid at school, and "only had to pay, like, seven hundred dollars." Sounds like a lot, but Cate got herself a job. "I enjoyed it. Just being able to make my own money," she tells Maci Bookout and Farrah Abraham during the Teen Mom After Show.
So, how did Cate and Ty make the decision to ditch their parentals and move into their own place?
"I need to get out," Cate recalls telling her fiance. "I have nowhere to go, I can't live at my mom's house so I'm gonna get my place. You can come along if you want to, or you can live at your mom's, but I need to get my own place."
Being financially responsible is tough, but Cate has some words of wisdom for her fans.
"Pay your bills first and buy what you want after," she says.
