The Bachelorette

Bachelor Pad Winner David Good Calls Chris Bukowski’s Strategy “Brilliant” — Exclusive

If there’s anyone who appreciates what it takes to win Bachelor Pad, it’s Dave Good, who took home the grand prize in the show’s Season 1 finale. So, when we ran into him at the RealBeanz Scavenger Hunt with Reality Stars event benefitting Blythedale Children’s Hospital in NYC, we just had to ask about his thoughts on the current season — especially Chris Bukowski’s controversial move to bring Erica Rose into the voting room with him. Dave didn’t hold back and told us what he really thought of the stunt — and if Chris should have been sent home for it!

Wetpaint Entertainment: You’re from Tampa. What brought you all the way to Manhattan for this particular event?
Dave: Well it’s my birthday weekend, I’m 31. So this was a great chance to come up to New York, celebrate with my friends and show up for a good cause.

Do you go to a lot of Bachelor Nation gatherings?
I try to support as many people from the show as I can, especially if it’s for charity. I like meeting all the new people.

So let’s talk Bachelor Pad. Who do you think is playing the game well?
I think Chris’ move last week was brilliant. That was a great strategic play.

Do you agree with it?
No. I don’t think he should have been allowed to take Erica into the voting booth. I don’t agree with that. That’s not part of the game. ABC letting Chris take her in there and see who he was voting for? I think that’s BS. That’s not in the rule book.

Do you think he should have been disqualified for it?
Not at all. I just think ABC should have said, "No, you can’t bring her in there." But good on him that he got away with it! I have a feeling things are going to get really interesting from here.
