Does Kailyn Lowry Think Parents Should Be “Friends” With Their Kids?
Kailyn Lowry knows what's up when it comes to raising a kiddo. Sure, girlfriend might be a tender-hearted teenager, but she's mature beyond her years and has taken to spilling parenting advice left, right, and center. Listen up, Teen Momers!
Some parents think it's important to be a "friend first" to your children (sigh, hippies), but Kailyn is preaching a more old school philosophy. "A parent is just that, a parent. In MY eyes, a parent shouldn't act more like a friend," she says, adding, "Be a friend to your child(ren), yes. But a parent FIRST."
Sounds like good advice to us, but apparently Kailyn's opinion has gotten her in boiling hot water.
"I can't stand when people tweet me nonsense when they clearly didn't understand what I tweeted in the first place," she posted shortly after dishing her opinion.
Sigh, you win some you lose some! Do you agree with Kailyn's parenting techniques or do you think parents should be "friends first" with their kids? Dish it in the poll!
