The Bachelorette

Sean Lowe Tells All! Will He Be The Next Bachelor? — Exclusive

Thanks to his height and his blonde, blue-eyed good looks, it’s easy to spot Sean Lowe in a crowd. Getting to him, however, is no easy task considering the guy’s literally swarmed with female Bachelorette fans begging him for a picture everywhere he goes. We learned that the hard way yesterday at the RealBeanz Scavenger Hunt with Reality Stars event in NYC — which benefitted Blythedale Children’s Hospital and was thrown by none other than Bachelor alum Jenna Burke. Also in the crowd: former Bachelorette stars Graham Bunn and Dave Goode, as well as Bachelor cutie Kacie Boguskie.

Ever the gentleman (Oh, how we adore those southern manners!), Sean made a point to carve out a few minutes to chat with Wetpaint Entertainment. Given all the buzz that he’s a likely candidate, we had to ask about the very real possibility that he may become the next Bachelor. Sean answered all of our questions.. and also opened up about what he’s looking for in a woman. Ladies, get those applications ready!

Wetpaint Entertainment: Thanks so much for talking to us!
Sean Lowe: Of course.

You live in Dallas right now. What made you want to fly all the way to New York for this particular event?
Well, I know that my window of “fame” – if that’s what you want to call it – is limited. So while I have it, I want to give back as much as I can and this was a great opportunity to support a good cause. I work with the Children’s Hospital back in Dallas and my heart just goes out for those kids. On top of that, it’s been a fun weekend and I got to hang out with a lot of people I’ve never met before, like Graham and David.

The rumor mill is going crazy about you being the next Bachelor. If it was offered to you, would you do it?
If I were to be asked, I would have to think long and hard about it. My main concern is that the whole process was emotionally and physically taxing. Do I want to subject myself to that again? I don’t know. At the same time, I was pretty cynical going into The Bachelorette, but a few weeks into it I realized, ‘Wow, this can actually work.” So I do believe in the process. I do think it can work.

If you were chosen, what would you bring to table?
I’m a guy who knows what I want. There are three main qualities I’m looking for in a woman. She has to be sweet, she has to have a good heart and be genuine. She has to be smart. And she needs to be funny. I’m looking for someone quick-witted who can keep me on my toes and, just you know, have a good time.

How would you feel if it went to Roberto [Martinez] or Arie [Luyendyk Jr.] instead?
I don’t actually know Roberto, but everyone I talk to says he’s a super nice guy. And I know Arie very well. Arie’s a great guy, he’s a sweetheart. But he’s very different from me. He’s a European race car driver, I’m more the all-American type. But I think either of them would make great Bachelors.

If it is you, are you ready to commit to one woman and get married?
Absolutely. I’m not saying I’m out looking there looking for her all the time, but if she came across my path, then I’m absolutely at the point in my life where I’m ready to settle down.

Good luck!
