It's been a very tough time for Paul, who not only is dealing with the loss of his marriage but also the passing of his father. Paul released this statement to TMZ: "Adrienne and I have tried very hard to make our marriage work, but this is the best course for both of us. This is a difficult time for our family and my prime focus is to ensure our boys are well and happy." Paul added, "In addition, sadly I just lost my father yesterday — a man who taught me how to be a man. I deeply appreciate the outpouring of support from family, friends, and patients. We will get through this."
Paul was the first to file for separation in July, and he is also the first to file for divorce. At the time of their separation, Adriennesaid, “It’s just another bump in the road. … Just like any marriage, it has its problems. … I’m hoping for the best. Our children come first.” According to TMZ, Adrienne was also set to file divorce papers today but chose not to after hearing about the passing of Paul's father.
The couple has been married for 10 years, and TMZ reported earlier today that Paul won’t contest the prenuptial agreement that protects her family’s vast wealth. He’s also filed for joint custody of their three boys: Gavin, Christian, and Colin.
We wish both Paul and Adrienne the best during this difficult time.
