According to a new report by TV Guide, Seattle Grace-Mercy West is getting a new Nazi this season. With Bailey (Chanda Wilson) off being happy with Ben, someone has to fill her shoes. But who?
Believe it or not, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) will be filling the rather large (not literally) shoes of the hospital Nazi. According to Ellen, Meredith turns to anger to get her through all of the drama. "She's angry about all the stuff that happened, so she's teaching her interns and she's really mean to them. It's an homage to the first Dr. Grey, Meredith's mother, who is the first bitch surgeon, so I get to channel Kate Burton and be mean," she said.
Well, we suppose Ellis Grey (Kate Burton) was the Nazi even before Bailey so perhaps it’s the perfect role for Mer. Maybe it runs in her blood. Then again, we do not want Meredith to become her mother, especially for Zola’s sake.
How angry do you think Meredith will be in the new season? And how long will she be considered the new Nazi? Could it affect her relationships with other characters? What about these pictures of Mere and Cristina(Sandra Oh) arguing?
The bigger question is: Why is she so angry? Is it related to Lexie’s (Chyler Leigh) death, Derek’s (Patrick Dempsey) hand, Mark’s (Eric Dane) departure, all of the above or something else completely? Could Meredith regret her decision about where to live? Could something else happen with Zola? How could she be so angry when she has that precious angel at home, right?
In the end, we can handle a little anger so long as Meredith maintains her relationships. We mean, if she was able to land McDreamy and keep up her friendship with Cristina during the dark-and-twisty seasons, how much damage could a little anger really do?
