LeAnn Rimes Enters Treatment Facility For Stress and Anxiety
Just one day after celebrating her 30th birthday, LeAnn Rimes has checked into a treatment facility for help with anxiety and stress.
According to her rep, the country singer has voluntarily entered a 30 day inpatient treatment facility in order to learn coping mechanisms for her anxiety. He also stresses that her treatment has nothing to do with substance abuse or eating disorders, which she suffered from in the past.
“This is just a time for me to emotionally check out for a second and take care of myself and come back in 30 days as the best 30-year-old woman I can be,” LeAnn told People. “I’ll have the tools to know how to deal with them.
LeAnn’s husband, actor Eddie Cibrian, seems to praise his wife’s decision to seek help.
“My wife is the most remarkable and courageous woman I know,” Eddie said. “I am so proud of her for having the strength to finally take some time for herself. I will be with her every step of the way.”
The singer also assures her fans that she won’t be missing any performances on her upcoming fall tour.
“The facility has granted her permission to keep her weekend tour obligations, as LeAnn doesn’t want to disappoint her fans,” LeAnn’s rep said. “She will report back after each weekend.”
