According to TV by the Numbers the finale pulled in almost 3 million viewers, which was a season high. It was also the most watched PLL summer finale yet. Even better: A large chunk of those viewers were in the show's target demo. It had especially good ratings in the categories of Women 18-34 and Females 12-34.
What's more, according to SocialGuide, the episode was the "the #1 'most social' TV series episode in history, breaking records with over 1.6 million comments." The episode generated over 709,000 tweets while it aired, with a peak of 36,000 PLL related tweets per minute. That's crazy!
It also means the show beat it's own record for volume of tweets, which was 645,000 tweets, and 32,000 tweets per minute during the Season 2 finale.
