Ryan Gosling to Make His Directorial Debut in “Modern-Day Fairy Tale” Starring Christina Hendricks
Sure, he can act. And sure, he looks pretty damn good without a shirt on. But does Ryan Gosling have any other skills hiding up his uber-sexy sleeves? We’re about to find out!
According to a press release, the Gangster Squad star is set to make his directorial debut in a “modern-day fairy tale” entitled How to Catch a Monster. The noir fantasy, also written by Gosling, tells the story of a single mother and her teenage son who are swept into a dark fantasy underworld where they stumble upon a secret road leading to an underwater town.
As if that isn’t exciting enough, Ryan’s Drive co-star Christina Hendricks is set to star in the “beautifully haunting” film! Of the project, producer Marc Platt adds, “Ryan Gosling has established himself as a dynamic talent on-screen with incredible instincts, and that ability to connect with audiences will serve him well in the director’s chair.” Well, we can’t argue with that!
As of now, no other cast has been announced, and it’s unclear whether Ryan will make his own appearance in the film.
