Did Mackenzie Douthit’s Friends Abandon Her When Baby Gannon Was Born? Mackenzie Tells All!
Being a teen mom is a tough pill to swallow for an Ugg-load of reasons, including, but not limited to, cankles, late-night feedings, and the fact that you have to walk around high school with a giant baby bump.
Teens who find themselves pregnant are often forced to grow up overnight, and usually have to adopt a new set of priorities than alienate them from their peers. In fact, many teen parents lose friends during their pregnancies — simply because their besties can't relate.
It's difficult to balance taking care of a crying baby with typical teen shenanigans like going to prom and trolling the mall, but 16 and Pregnant's Mackenzie Douthit has managed to make it work.
Mackenzie gave birth to her son, Gannon, almost a year ago, but she's maintained friendships with everyone in her life. In fact, her core group of gal pals have welcomed Baby G with open arms.
"Everyone told me I would lose all my friends when I had gannon," Mackenzie tweeted on August 30. "I didn't lose a single friend:)"
Mackenzie sure is lucky to have such dedicated home girls! Then again, who wouldn't want to hang out with her? She owns a baby pony.
