Val Chmerkovskiy: DWTS Made a “Big Mistake” to Not Bring Kiki Nyemchek Back in Troupe

Dancing With the Stars pro Val Chmerkovskiy is a good friend to have in your corner. He’s never afraid to speak his mind, even to The Powers That Be, and last night he called out the DWTS brass on behalf of Kiki Nyemchek, who has been with the pro troupe since it was introduced on Season 12. Or had been.

"Everybody makes mistakes,” Val tweeted. “Well #DWTS just made a BIG mistake by not bringing @KikiNyemchek back! Clearly one of the best dancers on the show... Unfortunately no one cares about honest work and talent anymore. It's about kissing a** and cutting corners ... Anyway stay up my brother."

Kiki responded, “You're my boy blue,” and Val returned with, “And you my ninja G ... always!!!"

Earlier on Thursday, Kiki had tweeted “It's been real #ontothenextone.”

Christopher “Kiki” Nyemchek was one of the original six pro troupe members, along with Oksana Dmyrenko, Nicole Volynets, Teddy Volynets, Peta Murgatroyd and Tristan MacManus. After the debut season, Peta and Tristan were bumped up to competing pros and new faces arrived, including Daria Chesnokova, Sharna Burgess and Sasha Farber. Then Henry Byalikov and Emma Slater joined the mix for Season 14. It sounds like DWTS is making more changes for Season 15. We're a little nervous to hear what else may be new, but stay tuned.

All the best to you, Kiki!

Dancing With the Stars Season 15: All-Stars will premiere on Monday, September 24 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. Check out the full All-Stars cast list here.
