Honey Boo Boo vs. The Republican National Convention: Who Had Better TV Ratings?
God Bless Ammerca. The people have spoken, and the people want... Honey Boo Boo!
Even the Republican National Convention can’t keep up with the energetic, pageant-winning toddler when it comes to TV ratings. That’s the power of Go Go Juice, y’all.
On August 29, nearly 3 million people tuned in to watch the fourth episode of TLC’s reality TV hit Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, according to Nielsen ratings. Per The Hollywood Reporter, this gives the show a 1.3 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic, the best of any cable show.
Fox News’s airing of the Republican National convention just couldn’t keep up, pulling a rating of just 1.2. However, to be fair, the RNC aired on multiple channels, so its overall number of viewers beat out Honey Boo Boo in the end.
