Glee Season 4 Music Spoiler: Rachel and Brody’s Romantic Love Song!

Sexy NYADA junior Brody (Dean Geyer) may have been brought on Glee Season 4 as a potential love interest for Rachel, but actress Lea Michele has made it clear that the two haven’t started dating yet.

"We haven't really been doing too much together," she said during filming for a sexy Brody-Rachel dance number in Episode 2. "Rachel asks him to help her with this number and that's kind of it for now."

However, the more we hear about future episodes, the more we get the feeling that “for now” might be a very crucial phrase in that statement. Based off of new tweets from Glee creator Ryan Murphy, it seems like Rachel and Brody will probably be getting very close, after all.

On August 31, Ryan tweeted that Rachel and Brody will be singing Demi Lovato’s “Give Your Heart a Break.”

Interesting choice, no? That’s not exactly the sort of platonic song you sing with your best friend. It’s definitely a love song. Just look at the opening lyrics:

“The day I first met you

You told me you'd never fall in love

But now that I get you

I know fear is what it really was”

Does this mean Rachel is falling in love with Brody, despite her best intentions not to? Because that’s certainly what it sounds like to us.

The song tells the story of a couple who is in love, but fearful of taking the next step for fear of getting hurt. That does not bode well for Finchel fans. We’re particularly worried about the part of the song that talks about, “when your lips are on my lips.” You’d better keep those lips away from Rachel, Brody!

Do you think Ryan’s new song spoiler is proof that Rachel and Brody are about to get together, or are you still not convinced? This new tune could just be a harmless NYADA class assignment, after all.

At least, that’s what we’re going to keep telling ourselves. Being in denial is fun!
