Heather Thomson Says She Can’t Support Aviva Drescher’s “Name-Calling”

Sonja Morgan’s not the only one lady on the Real Housewives of New York who’s displeased by Aviva Drescher’s “white trash” comment on Season 5, Episode 14: “Slutty Island.” Heather Thomson doesn’t approve of the word usage (or Aviva’s behavior, for that matter) either.

Heather wrote in her latest Bravo blog that she believes Aviva was acting out of character when she called Sonja and Ramona Singer “both white trash” after they expressed their dismay over her arrival to the St. Barth’s trip with hubby Reid.

Referring the argument Aviva waged with the duo over their treatment of Reid as “unfortunate,” Heather wrote, “Whether Aviva condones the behavior she witnessed in Miami or she doesn't, it is hard to support the name calling that took place. For me it felt like, 'Who are you? And what have you done with Aviva?’”

For Heather, a better approach to the matter would’ve been to forgive the ladies’ indiscretion rather than outright yelling and name-calling, so she was surprised by Aviva’s outburst.

“The Aviva that I have gotten to know is confident, glamorous, and a true class act. The Aviva that came to St. Barths was twisted up from jump, relentless, and unexpected,” said Heather.

Aviva wasn’t the only one who surprised Heather on the episode, either. According to her, she was shocked that Ramona had it in her to offer up an apology for her treatment of the Dreschers at all! “I am finally seeing the side of Ramona that Aviva told me about, the good side. And, Aviva well. . .I guess she is seeing something different,” she wrote.

For what it’s worth, Aviva has admitted that she got a bit carried away with herself during the bout.

The Real Housewives of New York airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
