Glee Season 4 Premiere Spoilers: New Clues About Who’s Still Together and Who Broke Up!

We already know that a bunch of couples are in danger of breaking up during Glee Season 4, Episode 4, but that doesn’t guarantee that things will be all fine and dandy up until then.

The Hollywood Reporter got a first look at Tuesdays Season 4 premiere, “The New Rachel,” and based on their teasers, we’d say plenty of the show’s core couples seem to already be on the rocks.

THR writes,

The premiere reveals that one major couple will have broken up. Another couple is still together thanks to Skype and a third is experiencing growing pains. Someone says, "I still love him and we're still friends." Who's your guess?

If you ask us, we’d say that Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Mercedes (Amber Riley) will likely be the pair who is revealed to have already broken up. News of Samcedes’ breakup has been out there for awhile; Glee creator Ryan Murphy tweeted way back in July that Sam would be getting a new love interest this season.

As for the happy Skype couple, our bet’s on either Santana (Naya Rivera) and Brittany (Heather Morris) or Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) and Mike (Harry Shum Jr.).

Finn (Cory Monteith) is going to be totally MIA for the first few episodes, and Rachel (Lea Michele) still won’t know for sure exactly where their relationship stands.

That means Tina or Rachel could be the one who utters the phrase, "I still love him and we're still friends." As for those growing pains, our bet’s on either Tike or Brittana. Given that Blaine (Darren Criss) is the one who encourages Kurt (Chris Colfer) to move to New York City, it doesn’t sound like their relationship is on the rocks quite yet. (The key word here being yet.)

Do you have alternate theories about who each of these mystery couples might be? Head to the comments and sound off.
