Claire Danes Shows Off “Soccer Ball” Baby Bump at Homeland Premiere (PHOTOS)

Behold the bump!

Pregnant Claire Danes was recently on Live! With Kelly talking about the efforts to hide her "soccer ball"-sized baby bump while shooting Homeland Season 2, which premieres September 30 on Showtime.

The Emmy-nominated actress and her husband, Hugh Dancy, announced their pregnancy on July 4. Claire said she’s about halfway through filming Season 2, which will not incorporate her pregnancy into her character's storyline.

Claire and her hot ginger Homeland co-star, Damian Lewis, are on the cover of Entertainment Weekly this week — and the story says Claire will give birth shortly after Homeland wraps production in November. So that would suggest she’s about seven months along at this point — and hiding the pregnancy will only get harder and harder as filming continues.

Claire and Damian were on the red carpet Friday, September 7 for Homeland's Season 2 premiere party in New York City, and Claire showed off her growing baby bump in a gorgeous black dress. “[W]e've been able to work around [my bump] just by, you know — I'm wearing more forgiving blouses and things,” the mom-to-be told Access Hollywood. “But now, we'll invite some CGI effects into the mix and manipulate in post-production. It should be OK!”

What a great story to tell Baby Dancy-Danes at some point — you came into this world as Mom was trying to fight terrorism on TV!
