"It's really hard to … see how it's insinuated, basically, that I, you know, had an affair with somebody this season on the show, when it's not true," LuAnn told The Insider in a new video interview.
So, if she didn't cheat, why did she tell a "white lie" about having Tomas over? Ironically, she says it was to stop the gossip. "I tell this story to the girls because I want to avoid them insinuating, or, you know, talking about the fact that I 'might have' had an affair."
How do we know LuAnn is telling the truth? She whips out some logic to drum home her point. "The last place I would bring a man, if I was going to have an affair, is to a house full of Housewives and cameras." Fair enough!
Meanwhile, it turns out the rumors that LuAnn asked for the footage of the scandal to be removed from the show have some factual basis — but she says she wasn't trying to cover anything up; she just wanted to spare her man's feelings. "I didn't ask for this to be removed for myself, I asked for this to be removed for Jacques," she explains.
As for how Jacques is handling drama, LuAnn confirms that, while "it's been difficult for him," the pair is "stronger than ever, and happy together."
