Real Housewives of New York

Countess LuAnn Says Aviva Drescher Was Being a “Buzzkill” on RHONY

Things definitely spiraled out of control between Aviva Drescher and Sonja Morgan on Real Housewives of New York Season 5, Episode 15: “Vacation, All I Never Wanted.” In one of the many instances of their bickering on the show, Aviva called out Sonja (and by association LuAnn de Lesseps) for bringing back men to the supposedly “girls-only” vacation home in St. Barts.

Aviva was still reeling over the fact that Sonja and Ramona Singer were supposedly planning to kick her husband Reid out of the house, so she mocked Sonja for being “holier than thou” and reminded her that she, too, had invited some men (namely, the swashbuckler Tomas) back to the pad. “I know for a fact that Sonja has slept with this guy Tomas,” Aviva said.

In her latest Bravo blog, LuAnn says that Aviva’s attack on Sonja was just a big “buzzkill.”

"Aviva was angry with Ramona and Sonja so I wasn’t surprised that she got into it again with Sonja — but I did think that Aviva went too far," writes the Countess. "Sonja likes to have fun and Aviva was being a buzzkill by harping on and on about how hurt she was by the reception she received. I also think that Aviva was being judgmental of Sonja.”

LuAnn added that Sonja and Tomas are adults and they can do whatever they want with each other." Even if that includes bending each other over in the garden, as Sonja enjoyed telling everyone.

For what it’s worth, Aviva apologized for her behavior for the second week in a row, and even went so far as to call herself a “jerk” after this episode.

The Real Housewives of New York airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
