Dancing With The Stars

Does Maksim Chmerkovskiy Ever Regret Talking Back to the DWTS Judges?

Wendy Williams didn't do too well on Dancing With the Stars Season 12 and had her own frustrations with the judges. DWTS pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy was just a guest on Wendy’s show and she told him, "They need to clear out the judges and get new ones."

Well, she's probably preaching to the choir there. Over the years, no pro — or celeb, for that matter — has been more outspoken with the judges than Maks. He regularly gets into spats with Carrie Ann Inaba (especially when she wears red) and got into an infamous Season 13 argument with Len Goodman, where he suggested the head judge retire.

Maks is back for Season 15’s All-Stars season, dancing with former partner Kirstie Alley. He’s not planning to be angry face Maks again, but that doesn’t mean he’s sorry about speaking out in the past. Wendy asked Maks (via The Clicker), "So you've been very outspoken to the judges, which I've always been a champion of that. You've always told those judges where to stick it! Do you ever regret that stuff, Maks?"

Maks reportedly hesitated, then answered, "Probably." He added that when he thinks about past things he's said, "There's a very small, half a second of me going, 'That probably wasn't a good idea.' Then I go, 'Nah. That was fine.'"

He's been doing it for so long, it's probably second nature to him — and to the judges. It's now part of the show's "shtick"!

Dancing With the Stars Season 15: All-Stars will premiere on Monday, September 24 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. Check out the full All-Stars cast list here.
