Once Upon a Time Season 2: Red Tails Director Anthony Hemingway Is Coming to Storybrooke

We know Once Upon a Time has excellent actors and writers, but the directors shouldn’t be overlooked, either.

For instance, Red Tails director Anthony Hemingway tweeted yesterday (September 11) that he’s working on the show, saying "Rise & Shine. Vancouver here I come...directing an episode of ABC's Once Upon A Time w/ my boys @joshdallas & @jarodjoseph. Excited!!!"

Anthony later tweeted that he's working on Season 2, Episode 7, which we hear involves some new, very magical, characters. He started his first day of prep today, September 12.

Before Red Tails, Anthony had a strong career as a television director. His resume includes such shows as The Wire, Treme, Community, True Blood, Battlestar Galactica, and Heroes. Clearly, Anthony knows how to direct big spectacles and strong character moments, which is exactly what OUAT needs.

Even better? As his tweet suggests, Anthony has worked with Josh Dallas (on Red Tails), and Jared Joseph (on Fringe) before, so they already know how to work together.

Also exciting is the news that Jared Joseph, who pays Billy the mechanic, is back. What do you think he's up to?

Once Upon a Time Season 2 premieres on September 30, 2012 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
