Hoda Kotb and Blake Shelton: New Couple Alert? Today Host Spills About Her Country Crush – Exclusive
Although most people know Hoda Kotb from her fun-filled segments on Today, her love of television doesn’t stop with the morning wine.
Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with the talk show host at SELF Magazine’s 5th Annual Women Doing Good Awards in New York City, and she spilled about her favorite new and returning fall TV shows — including her undying love for The Voice’s Blake Shelton!
Wetpaint Entertainment: There’s a lot of great TV coming on this fall. What are you looking forward to?
Hoda Kotb: Yeeees! I saw Go On, the new one with Matthew Perry, and I laughed and cried in one episode! I was totally sold; the timing is insane. I’m just in love with that show. I also love The Voice, and I am dying to see Nashville.
Nashville is so good! I saw it!
Stop showing off! [Laughs] I’m also dying to see the next episode of Revenge.
Tell me about your love of Revenge! What did you think of the first season and what are you looking forward to in Season 2?
First of all, I didn’t think I’d get into like a nighttime soap opera; I thought, "Oh, that’s so not me!" But there was something so crazy about the concept and seeing the end at the beginning, and you were like, "Oh my God!" And you weren’t sure who got shot. And how it all unfolded and how evil the characters are and so conniving. I mean, I miss the whole situation — I can’t wait to see what happens!
I love Blake. I want to marry Blake, OK? I don’t care what anyone says — alright, Miranda Lambert? I don’t care what you say!
You look amazing, so you’re obviously not sitting on the couch all night. How do you keep in shape?
Look. I don’t love working out — I just do it at gunpoint in the mornings, and I only do 30 minutes of like, a cardio thing. I go to the gym often and pad around and talk to people and lift a few weights, but I try to do something for 30 minutes each day. I figure that if you have 24 hours in your day, you may as well spend half of one doing something! But I think that’s it. I try to get it out of the way in the morning because I know I won’t do it if I’m not paying attention.
