Grey's Anatomyis no stranger to competition in terms of viewership. The show’s Thursday night time slot has been home to a lot of great dramas. In the past, Grey’s has faced off with the likes of CSI and FOX’s The OC. And now, the medical drama will take on Glee, but series creator Shonda Rhimes doesn’t seem too worried.
When asked on Twitter if she cares about going up against Glee (and the fact that Glee’s season has already begun), Shonda responded: “I care about making good episodes. When they air and who they air against is not something I spend time caring about.”
It’s that simple. But do you think that’s a good way of handling competition? Should she be worried that Glee and Grey’s might share a lot of the same audience? We certainly love them both.
Then again, whatever Shonda’s been doing seems to be working for her, so who are we to doubt her methods, right?
