Glee Creator Ryan Murphy Is Married — and Now He’s Ready to Have Kids!

Ryan Murphy already has several “babies” that keep him pretty busy, so to speak, considering he’s responsible for the health and well-being of not only Glee but also American Horror Story and The New Normal. But he still hopes to have actual baby humans in the very near future.

Ryan got married on July 4th in Provincetown, MA, to David Miller, a photographer whom Ryan has known for 15 years and has dated for two years. Ryan tells Vogue that he and David both want kids and don’t want to wait much longer. “I thought if I don’t do this ... I’m 46 … I will really, really regret it,” Ryan says.

So what will Ryan be like as a dad? He says that his career in showbiz has already given him experience dealing with people who don’t want to do what you tell them. “I want the kid to be bold,” Ryan says. “And I have a lot of preparation, dealing with these actors. [They’re like,] ‘Really? F**k you. I’m going to do the opposite of what you want.’ But I realize, you just have to let go or you’re screwed.”

Ryan should take comfort in knowing he has the support of a very famous friend: none other than Lea Michele (Rachel). Lea says that Ryan and David will be “the most incredible parents,” and that growing up with Ryan as a dad would be enviable for anyone. “I am incredibly jealous that I am not their daughter,” Lea says. “Because the Murphy household would be my dream.”

Can you even imagine what that would be like? The very idea kind of blows our minds.
