The Voice Season 3 Contestant Mycle Wastman Is Grateful to Work With Cee Lo Green Before the Coach Leaves the Show
On last night’s episode of The Voice Season 3, Mycle Wastman wowed the judges with his soulful rendition of Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together.”
And it was another soulful Green that landed the 40-year-old musician on his team — Cee Lo Green. This came a day after the announcement that Cee Lo would be taking a leave of absence from the show in the spring season, with R&B singer Usher taking over.
And when Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with Mycle in a conference call today, he seemed very relieved to have just made the Team Cee Lo cut.
“[Cee Lo]’s definitely had more experiences in music,” Mycle said. “He’s been doing it his whole life. He’s also extremely talented as a writer and a singer.”
And Mycle has found plenty of similarities between himself and the Ladykiller.
“It seems like he’s really overcome a whole lot of odds because he’s not the best looking guy on the planet, but he’s out there and he’s killin’ it. He’s basically leading by example,” he added.
Ouch! Talk about a backhanded compliment!
Aww, we still think you’re cute, Cee Lo — but we also don’t mind Usher’s ripped six-pack!
