Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson Reaches Plea Deal in Domestic Violence Case
Shortly after finalizing his divorce from estranged wife Evelyn Lozada, Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson has reached a plea deal with prosecutors in his alleged domestic violence dispute with the Basketball Wives star.
Chad, who was subsequently charged with battery, allegedly head-butted Evelyn following an argument over a condom receipt last August, leading Ev to file for divorce just days later.
According to TMZ, the terms of Chad’s plea deal state that he will not serve time in jail, but he has been ordered to complete extensive anger management counseling and will be placed on probation in exchange for either a guilty or no contest plea.
The former footballer also has a no-contact order with Evelyn that bars him from even speaking to his ex.
A judge is expected to sign off on the plea deal today.
