Christina Aguilera Talks Leaving The Voice, Not Watching The X Factor
In the words of Billboard Magazine, it’s time for the “Resurrection of Christina.” And in the publication’s new cover story, pop diva Christina Aguilera is clearly ready for her comeback.
After cancelling her 2010 Bionic tour due to poor sales and spending two years and three seasons on The Voice, the “Beautiful” singer is ready to fight for her music career.
She’s taking a leave of absence from the hit music reality show in order to promote her new album, Lotus.
"Mark [Burnett, NBC’s executive producer] made it very clear that these chairs are always our chairs," Xtina told the magazine. "He said, 'I understand the only reason the show's going to work is if it doesn't get stale.' And he totally understood that I needed something to fulfill my creative soul, and said, 'This chair will always be yours to come back to whenever you do what makes you the best.'"
