Castle Season 5 Premiere Super Spoiler Preview: “After the Storm”
We just got our hands on an advance copy of Castle's Season 5 premiere and we're bursting at the seams to tell you everything! But we'd hate to spoil the fun — and trust us, there's plenty of that! — so instead we'll bestow upon you a few titillating teasers to help whet your appetite for Sept. 24.
First and foremost, we want to make it absolutely clear that Castle and Beckett's midnight sex romp was not a dream. We repeat, not a dream. And from the tone of Caskett's morning-after pillow talk, we can tell that it was good. Like, really good.
And most importantly, Castle and Beckett finally seem to be on the same page. And it only took 'em four years!
Yes, you can let out a big ol' sigh of relief now.
Unfortunately, we're not privy to any R-rated action between our newly sexed-up leads, but we don't mind settling with hairporn. Beckett's totally rocking the "I just had sex" hair and she doesn't seem to care, which should give you a bit of insight to her state of mind. In other words … rawr!
Side note to superfans: Keep your ears peeled during the opening scene for a very blatant and blush-worthy reference to the pilot episode.
Now, before you get too giddy with excitement, we should warn you — what happens next is kind of a nightmare. A nightmare that will have you rolling on the floor (literally) with laughter and simultaneously cringing with embarrassment. The morning after always has the potential to be awkward — especially when it's a couple's first time — but this takes the cake. Let's just say, someone could be in the doghouse for a while.
But we don't kiss and tell, so let's agree to just keep it in the closet, shall we? After all, we don't have time to get into all that now, not with Cole Maddox still on the loose. As expected, Beckett's mother's murder is central to the episode, and although it takes a while to put the pieces together, Castle and Beckett eventually do make a game-changing discovery … with a little help from their friends.
If you want to know whether or not Beckett finally gets the closure she deserves, the answer is twofold: yes and no. This is Castle, after all, and show creator Andrew Marlowe always finds a way to leave us hungry for more. And by the end of this episode, you'll be ravenous.
