Green Day Disses Justin Bieber With a Profanity-Laced Tirade
It appears that the members of Green Day are not what you would call Beliebers.
Green Day performed at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas yesterday and were in the middle of performing their '90s hit "Basket Case" when things got ugly. The punk band apparently got a sign from the festival's organizers in the middle of the song that they only had one minute left, causing frontman Billie Joe Armstrong to snap.
Billie Joe stopped the song mid-performance and began a tirade while on stage. "I'm going to play a f**king new song," he said. "F**K this sh**. Gimme a f**king break. One minute left. One minute f**king left. You're going to give me one minute." Talk about a basket case.
And Billie Joe wasn't done with his rant, as he apparently wasn't sure whether everyone understood that he was more than a bit displeased with the situation. He then smashed his guitar and the band headed offstage, but not before he said, "I'm not f**king Justin Bieber, you motherf**kers. You've got to be f**king joking. I got one minute. One minute left. Now I got nothing left."
Wow. It clearly sounds like Billie Joe Armstrong did not have the time of his life during this show. But why pick on Justin? The poor guy wasn't even at the festival! Other performers at the weekend event include Taylor Swift, Rihanna, and Usher.
Note to self: If Green Day wants to play, just let them play.
