Christina Aguilera Talks Leaving The Voice: I’m Going to Miss Goofing Off With Adam Levine
Yes, we did spend our entire weekends dyeing our hair purple and mourning the loss of Christina Aguilera and her “girls” on The Voice. Didn’t you?
The pop diva announced last week that she’d be taking a leave of absence from the show this spring to promote her new album, Lotus.
And though we know we’ll miss her wacky outfits, honest commentary, and sexual tension when Shakira takes over come spring, what will the “Dirrty” singer miss the most?
Sure, she’ll be without a team of young hopefuls, but Xtina seems most saddened by the loss of her partner in crime —Adam Levine. Wait ... what? Last we heard, these two weren’t exactly besties. But in a new interview with E! News, Christina revealed some behind-the-scenes details on her friendship with the Maroon 5 lead singer.
“All of us as coaches have definitely bonded,” she said. “Me and Adam are on breaks backstage, we’re writing profanity with my red lipstick on Blake’s trailer while he’s napping inside. We have definitely, literally, become like brother and sister, and we goof off and play around, and I’m going to miss it.”
Sure, writing profanity on Blake’s trailer sounds like a good time no matter what, but we’re having a hard time believing that these two frenemies have come so far as to think of each other as brother and sister.
We used to think they had 99 problems, but friendship wasn’t one! However, maybe the rumors of reconciliation are true, and Adam and Xtina really are besties. What do you think? Weigh in below!
