Kanye West’s Lawyers Issue Cease-and-Desist Letters Over Sex Tape Images
Kanye West is apparently hoping to get his sex tape out of the wrong hands before it goes the way of Kim Kardashian’s own infamous home video.
The rapper’s legal team has issued cease-and-desist letters to a variety of media outlets demanding that any images associated with the illegally-obtained sex tape be taken down immediately.
Kanye’s lawyer, Lisa M. Buckley, shared a legal document regarding the tape with AllHipHop News that reads, “Be advised that the Screen Shot, as well as the Tape from which the Screen Shot was taken, were illegally obtained and believed to have been stolen from Mr. West’s computer. Your posting, advertising, marketing, displaying and otherwise disseminating the stolen Screen Shot and/or other materials on the Tape constitute actionable violations of Mr. West’s rights of privacy and publicity.”
At least if the tape does see the light of day, Kanye will have Kim’s sympathetic shoulder to cry on — not to mention Kris Jenner to provide damage control!
