Miley Cyrus Plans to Release New Single in November, Inspired By New Orleans For Album
Everything about Miley Cyrus lately has been about her hair and engagement to Liam Hemsworth, but when we heard her "Lilac Wine" recording we remembered — oh yeah, she can actually sing!
Miley has remembered this too, and over the weekend she told Rolling Stone she's working on a new album, influenced by her time in New Orleans while Liam was shooting a movie. She's going to mix some old soul into her country pop sound and hopes to get the first single out within the next couple of months.
"I'm thinking hopefully November for a single," Miley told Rolling Stone. "It's just whenever we feel we've got that [song] we feel really confident in being the first single. I've got songs right now I feel like could potentially be singles, [but] it's been two years that I haven't said anything, and I want that to be the right thing we say."
We’re glad to see Miley getting back into her own groove. Liam’s career seems to be taking off — he’s currently shooting The Hunger Games: Catching Fire — and she’s too young and talented to just be known for sharing pics of herself on Twitter. Get to work, girl!
