You guys, these are our confessions: We’re kind of excited to see Usher and his sexy six pack on The Voicethis spring! We love that he wears sunglasses inside, he has dance moves to rival the Biebs (mostly because he taught the Biebs), and his smiles makes us say, “Oh, oh, oh my gosh.”
That being said, it’ll be virtually impossible to replace our beloved Papa Cee Lo and his exotic menagerie of pets. Cee Lo’s kooky outfits, occasional wigs, infectious grins, and slightly inappropriate comments to minors have become a staple on The Voice. Luckily, Cee Lo isn’t gone permanently and should be back as soon as next fall.
But when it comes to talent and vocal ability, which soul singer comes out on top?
Usher got his start in an R&B group called NuBeginnings who released their first album in 1991. Only four years later, Cee Lo and rap collective Goodie Mob released their debut record, Soul Food.
Both musicians have had a series of No. 1 singles, including Usher’s “Yeah!,” “OMG,” “Love In This Club,” and Cee Lo’s “Crazy” and “Forget You!”
Cee Lo was a part of the group Gnarls Barkley, but later went solo before joining The Voice. His song “Forget You!” was also featured on the hit FOX show Glee. On the flip side, Usher has won seven Grammys to Cee Lo’s five.
But we’ll leave the decision up to you, Voice fans! Who is the better singer: Usher or Cee Lo? Vote below!
