Producers have been answering ANTM fans’ questions in YouTube videos, including a viewer’s query about doing an all-male model season. "You're not the first to ask that question,” executive producer Laura Fuest said. “We've heard it many, many times. All I can say is we're listening.”
Hopefully they've been listening to Tyra Banks, since she's the one who has openly talked about wanting an all-male model season. We asked fans about it and the response was overwhelmingly positive. When's the last time ANTM fans agreed that much about anything? Go for it!
It’s just good to hear producers talk about the existence of Cycle 20. Ratings were low on Cycle 18, hence the big changes on the current Cycle 19. You’d almost think they’d do an all-male model season this time, since new judge Rob Evans is here. But no. Still, they said casting should start fairly soon and producer Ken Mok hinted to even more social interaction next time. "We want you to know, as fans, that we're going to hopefully have you guys involved in an even deeper way on Cycle 20 than on Cycle 19."
Maybe they’ll do “live” voting next time, instead of having all the voting done months before we even get to watch the show. It would be harder on the production end, but then viewers could vote based on personalities rather than just still photos.
What do you think? Should they do a male model Cycle 20, complete with voting that viewers can do as the show airs?
