Once Upon a Time Season 2 Spoilers: Where Was Emma 10 Years Ago?
For Once Upon a Time fans, Emma’s (Jennifer Morrison) story and background remains mostly a mystery. We’re familiar with the emotional torment our protagonist has gone through for the past 28 years, thinking that her birth parents abandoned her and growing up in the foster system. But when will we learn more about her past, or better yet, see more of it?

In a new interview with The Huffington Post, Jennifer Morrison reveals that an upcoming episode in Season 2 will finally feature flashbacks to Emma’s life before Storybrooke.
“It’s really fun,” Jennifer says, “because we’ve now done an episode where we really do get to see Emma 10 years ago and see the differences between what was going on in her life then and what’s going on in her life now and what’s changed for her physically and emotionally. We sort of see the roots of where this all came from for her.”
As we previously reported, Season 2, Episode 6 is titled “Tallahassee,” which is where Emma spent two years of her life (the longest she’s ever spent in one place). Will we also get to see Henry’s (Jared Gilmore) father in that episode, since Henry is exactly 10 years old?
Luckily, we’ll get to see tons of Emma before that episode, too. As previous spoilers have indicated, Emma and Mary Margaret (Ginnifer Goodwin) will find themselves stuck somewhere outside of Storybrooke. Jennifer gives a new hint about where she and her mom will be: “They are in a position where they need to be found.”
Adding more context, Jennifer spills that Jefferson (Sebastian Stan) will play a major role in the first two episodes, related to “some of the capacity that they have magic-wise right away.” But for those of you shipping Mad Swan, you should know that we will see August Booth (Eion Bailey) again, though Jennifer won’t reveal under what circumstances.
