Castle Season 5, Episode 2: “Cloudy With a Chance of Murder” Wish List: 3 Things We Hope Will Happen
CastleSeason 5 has just begun and, already, we’re getting some answers to the show’s juiciest questions. With so much that has been covered in only one episode, what do we have to look forward to next week? A lot!
Castle comes back Monday with Episode 2: “Cloudy With a Chance of Murder,” where a local meteorologist is found dead in what looks like a mugging gone wrong. But when it’s revealed that it wasn’t a mugging, our band of detectives — and Castle, of course! — enter the local news scene ready to report the truth.
As much as we want that “whodunit” moment, spoilers and sneak previews all revolve around the outcomes of some of the show’s relationships. Here’s what we hope happens, but leave your own wish list in the comments.
Tune into Castle Monday, October 1, 2012 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC with Season 5, Episode 2: “Cloudy with A Chance of Murder.”
3. Ryan and Esposito Duke It Out!
Blood is still boiling between this former bromance gone awry. During one of the sneak previews, Detective Beckett forces Ryan and Esposito to check out the location of the victim’s stolen cell phone … together. We can only imagine what their talk will be like as they're walking over there, since they can barely stand next to each other without taking a cheap shot.
Clearly, Espo’s alliances run deep, but it seems that when you break that bonded trust, you are on your own. Damn, Ryan. And you were only trying to save Beckett’s life!
Hopefully, these guys work out a civilized way of solving their issues. May we suggest a good ol' fight at the NYPD gym? Nothing says “air out your differences” like kicking the betrayal out of someone until it hurts too much to fight. No offense, but here’s $10 on Esposito.
We can’t say for sure the amount of time that lapsed from the premiere to the second episode, but we can tell Castle and Beckett have been spending a lot of time together. Promos show Beckett even asking her man for wardrobe advice for her first day back on the job, which makes us wonder how else they spend their time in the morning.
Picture this: Castle's flipping pancakes while Beckett takes a shower — only he stops when he realizes his lady is dripping wet and naked. Just remember to turn the stove off before unbuckling your pants, Rick.
1. The Reason Beckett’s Glowing!
Lanie notoriously calls it like she sees it, and next week, her sights are set on Beckett’s sex-induced glow. Even though the precinct doesn’t know the identity of her mystery bed-sheet buddy, we sure as hell do and we want to see more!
Beckett’s letting her hair — and guard — down, and maybe that means Castle can convince her to get a little naughty on the job. But the ultimate trophy will be given if a stolen kiss in Gates's office goes down. Talk about scoring — on two levels! Now, who wants to take the Captain out for lunch so they can make this happen?
