Jane Lynch (Sue) has indeed confirmed to E! Online that Finn will be staying in Lima for a while, and while he’s there, he’ll be helping out with the glee club. Crazy, right? No word on whether Finn will also start using gallons upon gallons of product in his hair, Schue-style.
So how do you think Finn will be as a choir director? We actually think this is a pretty awesome fit for the guy, since we can definitely see him having the patience and dedication to be a good teacher. Let’s just hope that Finn finds someone else to handle the choreography for him.
But does this mean Schue will in fact get the position with the blue-ribbon panel that we saw him applying for last week? And if so, just how long will he be gone? Because we don’t know how long we can go without hearing Schue give one of his pep talks, and we don’t really wanna find out.
And more importantly, does the fact that Finn is staying in Lima mean that the rumors are true and that Finchel really is dunzo after Season 4, Episode 4: “The Break-Up”? It certainly sounds that way. [Hang on while we take a quick cry break lasting, oh, about six to eight hours. Feel free to cry with us if you feel so inclined.]
Yes, it’s sounding like Finn and Rachel (Lea Michele) will spend quite a bit of time apart following “The Break-Up.” E! Online reports that it’s not until Episode 7, that Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Rachel make a trip back to Lima. However, Lea and Kurt both filmed a scene back at McKinley on September 18 — and Glee was only filming Episodes 5 and 6 at the time — so it’s possible that Finchel might reunite even earlier than that.
In any case, when Finn and Rachel do meet again, we have a sinking suspicion that it’s going to be very awkward. So hang in there, Finchel fans — it looks like we’re entering some dark times. Chins up!
