Once Upon a Time Season 2 Spoilers: When Is August Coming Back?

It's now October, but we're still pining for August. Where did he go?

August Booth (Eion Bailey), aka Pinocchio, was AWOL on the Once Upon a Time Season 2 premiere (Season 2, Episode 1: “Broken”). Granted, there was a lot going on, but where is the guy at this point? Storybrooke’s curse is now broken, but was it too late? Is he now totally petrified wood?

TV Line confirmed that actor Eion Bailey will be back at some point on Season 2, probably sooner rather than later. “There are so many stories that are left open-ended, it’s just a matter of time before we revisit these characters,” Lana Parrilla (Regina Mills/The Evil Queen) told to the site. “Eion may be coming back as a wooden figure. And he may not!”

Would they really dare waste his human hotness? This season already has a host of sexy guys — thanks for that! — but August is dreamboat and we want him back intact. We'd like to see him reunite with Geppetto and also do some splainin' about what happened to Emma (Jennifer Morrison).

If you've forgotten, Pinocchio/August was supposed to take care of baby Emma when they escaped Fairytale Land via Geppetto’s magical tree cabinet. But instead he left Emma to grow up alone in foster care.

Of course, Geppetto also has to do some splainin’ to the Charmings, since the The Blue Fairy (Keegan Connor Tracy) wanted Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) to be the second person to escape in the cabinet, so she could protect Emma. Instead, Geppetto chose to send Pinocchio to the new world.

Now that Emma is all mad at her parents for being left alone, some of that anger should probably spread not only to The Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) and Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) for starting this curse mess, but also to Geppetto for leaving Emma without her mom, and to Pinocchio/August for leaving Emma without anyone.

Soap opera city! Maybe August should just hide away with The Mystery Guy...

Catch the next new episode of Once Upon a Time on Sunday, October 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
