Good Morning Americatalked to some of the dancers about their sexiness and how they could use it to their advantage.
Peta Murgatroyd explained part of her partner Gilles Marini's appeal. "He kind of oozes that French, European, sexy, oui oui, yah yah thing." Ha! Gilles blushed a little bit at that. But don't expect him to pull a Tristan MacManus (we miss you!) or Val Chmerkovskiy and flash a little skin on Week 2. "Not yet," Gilles said of going shirtless, which he did do briefly, to great acclaim, back on Season 8. "Because we're doing the Jive [this week]. It makes no sense yet. I take things off when it makes sense." Let’s just hope he makes it that far. Every week he talks about a new injury and this time it’s his hamstrings. Pull it together, mon cher!
While Gilles prepares to take things off, Apolo and Karina Smirnoff talked to GMA about what sexy thing they add before every routine — dark chocolate. That's what Karina eats before every show. "She brings chocolate all the time,” Apolo said. “Is it an aphrodisiac? I heard it is." Yes, it is, but Karina uses it on him for less sexy reasons. "I give him dark chocolate [and] he becomes so sweet." It’s like giving a little kid a treat.
Don’t worry, Apolo! We still think you’re sexy — with or without chocolate or that soul patch.
