Grey’s Anatomy Season 9 Spoiler: New Doctor Will Be a “Female [SPOILER] Replacement”

With so many new characters popping up on Grey's Anatomy Season 9, it’s almost hard to keep up with all the new faces. But something tells us this latest spoiler about a new doctor coming on board at Seattle Grace-Mercy West will stand out from the pack.

Read spoilers at your own risk! For more on Wetpaint Entertainment's philosophy on spoilers, click here.

With Mark (Eric Dane), Lexie (Chyler Leigh), Cristina (Sandra Oh), Derek (Patrick Dempsey), and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) out of commission as surgeons at the moment, Owen (Kevin McKidd) has already started recruiting new (and old) faces to fill all of the open positions. And soon, a new face will start turning heads.

“A new doctor will be joining the team, and she is described as brilliant and charismatic with dark hair,” reports E! “And this new doc could be at Seattle Grace for longer than just a couple episodes.”

The new doc is described as a “female McSteamy replacement,” which implies that she’ll be working in plastics alongside Jackson (Jesse Williams). And she sounds hot to trot, too, which could provide some sexual tension for Jackson, not to mention Alex (Justin Chambers). Do you think she’ll be a friend or foe to Meredith (Ellen Pompeo)?

We’ll be watching!

Catch the next new episode of Grey’s Anatomy on Thursday, October 4 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
