Heather Thomson: Aviva Drescher Needs to Stop Asking Ramona Singer for Apologies

Over the last few episodes of Real Housewives of New York Season 5, Aviva Drescher has been squaring off with Ramona Singer over issue upon issue. Between the not-so-warm reception Ramona gave her and hubby Reid in St. Barts and her decision to boot Aviva’s father George from her charity function after he grabbed her arm, Aviva’s been on the warpath with Ramona for weeks. After watching Aviva attack Ramona again on last night’s Season 5 finale (Season 5, Episode 18: “All’s Well That Doesn’t End Well”), RHONY co-star Heather Thomson has spoken out to say that Aviva needs to stop demanding so many apologies from Ramona once and for all.

In her latest Bravo blog, Heather wrote “So, is it just me or is there something truly disingenuous about an apology if you have to ask for it? I for one don’t accept it as being sincere if I have to beg someone to say sorry.”

She continued, “I bring this up because I think Aviva needs to stop asking Ramona to apologize. What will it do? Will it make her feel better? In my opinion, she needs to just back down and give this whole thing with Ramona some time. They just continue to circle the drain with these heightened emotions and it's getting them nowhere.”

Amen, Heather! We await the reunion with little hope that Heather’s advice got through in time...

The Real Housewives of New York airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
