Justin Timberlake Had to Do Serious Wooing to Get Jessica Biel to Go Out With Him

A lot of ladies would jump at the chance to date Justin Timberlake, but Jessica Biel needed to be convinced.

Obviously, it worked. Jess and JT were on and off for a while, but they're now engaged and expected to get married soon.

It took some hustle to get to this point. Justin reportedly told Hello! magazine (via The Daily Mail) that he went after Jess the old-fashioned way. Actually, it's kind of the junior high way. After they met he asked a friend to call Jessica to see if it would be OK if he called her for a date. She said yes. Then JT used the old telephone and called her up for a date.

"That's something I learned from both my stepdad and my grandfather — that there is thing called chivalry and it doesn't have to die with the birth of the internet," Justin said. (If he really wanted to be old-fashioned he should've pulled up in a horse and carriage.)

Not that Jess was so bowled over by JT's friend baiting and telephone use that she immediately said "Heck yeah, come get me!" "I had to be pretty persistent in order to get her to say yes," Justin said. "But I have a fair amount of tenacity and if want something I stick to it. And in the end she agreed."

You can see how they couldn't get enough of each other back in 2007, when they first started going out.

Justin also claims one of the rules in their relationship is to always let her feel like she's getting her way. Another rule is to actually let her get her way most of the time. But it sounds like he gets his way even more often, since he won the girl he wanted. Hard work, hotness, money and fame can solve any problem!
