The 40-year-old mother of three showed off her incredible body on the Oct. 15 cover of People, spilling about how she slimmed down.
“ has been a bit of a rebirth for me as a person by shedding that negative space and all the pain associated with that time,” Jennie told People, saying she dropped “30 lbs. of dead weight.”
Combining “twice-weekly sessions with a personal trainer and more sensible eating habits” was the starting point, but she also takes “lengthy hikes in the hills,” meditates, and balances her healthy addiction to coconut water with salads, salmon, and Greek yogurt.
But Jennie made sure not to drop the pounds too quickly, taking her time over the course of approximately six months to lose 30 pounds, shedding one or two per week.
And even though she has a fabulous personal trainer and a bit more of a disposable income, the former 90210 star is just like us — she has guilty pleasures, too!
“I love banana cupcakes with cream cheese frosting,” she admitted. "I buy a box and put them in my freezer for when I need them. It’s like my drug. When I need my cupcake, I take one out.”
