Jersey Shore’s The Situation “Isn’t Sober Anymore:” Source (UPDATE)

Say it ain’t so!

According to an Us Weekly source, The Situation has started drinking again. The source claims that Mike “isn’t sober anymore,” and a witness reportedly saw him “downing so many cocktails, he could barely stand” at the London Hotel in West Hollywood on September 26.

It was only seven months ago when The Situation first revealed that he was in recovery for an addiction to painkillers. On March 20, the news became public that he had begun inpatient treatment at the Cirque Lodge in Utah. Since then, The Situation went on to film Jersey Shore Season 6 without any reports that he had broken his sobriety.

But in recent weeks leading up to the premiere of the final season (October 4), Mike has been spotted partying more than usual. First, he was spotted with a Hooters model on his lap in Miami, and then, he and wingman Ryan Lochte reportedly brought a “gaggle of women” with them when they left a nightclub in the wee hours of the morning.

Now, an insider says, “The Sitch is stressed [that] the MTV series is ending: ‘Mike’s freaking out about what he’s going to do after the show.’”

As fans of The Situation, we hope the rumors aren’t true. But if they are, hopefully a friend can help him get back into treatment ASAP.

UPDATE: While he doesn't directly deny the claims, The Situation went on Ellen with his co-stars yesterday and revealed that he is 8-months sober. The Sitch has also been tweeting up a storm about his sobriety, retweeting articles that point out his soberness. The Situation's rep told Us Weekly that the report was not true.

Jersey Shore Season 6 will premiere on Thursday, October 4 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
